lg revolution




Bringing around a revolution, LG has introduced its first 4G LTE smartphone. Titled the LG Revolution, this handset has been debuted in conjunction with Verizon Wireless. Fitted with 4.3-inch capacitive touchscreen display, the smartphone renders comprehensive HD support for viewing, streaming and recording video multimedia.
The device operates on 4G LTE, offering upload speeds of 2 to 5 Mbps and download speeds of 5 to 12 Mbps in areas covered by 4G mobile broadband networks. This Wi-Fi enabled device operates on Android 2.2 which brings along the entire suite of Google Mobile Services. Using the smartphone’s Mobile Hotspot abilities users’ can pair up 8 Wi-Fi devices to share the 4G connection. The handset is DLNA, HDMI and DIVX capable.
“LG Revolution combines the Verizon Wireless 4G LTE Mobile Broadband network with the power of Android 2.2 to deliver a blazingly fast experience,” asserted Marni Walden, vice president and chief marketing officer for Verizon Wireless. “The introduction of the first 4G LTE smartphone from LG is a positive addition to our robust lineup of powerful smartphones.”
“Being an innovation and technology leader has always been a top priority for LG and we are thrilled to unveil a new level of smartphone capabilities and features,” remarked Tim O’Brien, vice president of marketing for LG Mobile. “LG Revolution marks the beginning of new technologies and products that will complement on-the-go consumers looking for high-speed connectivity in one compact device.”
The phone’s Bluetooth 3.0 integration renders support for Bluetooth profiles. The Revolution fashions dual cameras, a front facing one for video calls and a 5 megapixel rear one with flash and camcorder. The main camera is loaded with a plethora of features like five different camera resolutions coupled with three video resolutions. On the memory front, the handset provides 16GB of internal memory along with support for an additional 32GB.
LG Revolution has a respectfully-sized, 4.3-inch touchscreen, while a front-facing camera will let you do video chats. The main camera unit on the rear of the device has a 5MP sensor with autofocus, HD camcorder, and an LED flash. Data speeds that the LG Revolution is expected to achieve on Verizon's LTE network are as follows: 5 to 12 Mbps for download, and 2 to 5 Mbps for upload. The handset is able to act as a Mobile Hotspot, so it'll allow you to share the data network via Wi-Fi with up to 8 other devices. Other goodies on board include Bluetooth 3.0, HDMI port and DLNA.
